Religion is NOT Morality

As the theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate in Physics, Steven Wienberg pointed out, those who claim that the worst things done in the name of religion are not religion, are simply using their morality to define religion, rather than using their religion to define their morality. As Wienberg further pointed out, those who are willing to obey God and sacrifice Isaac, only value their sacred "beliefs" more than they value humanity or even human life. Worse, they attack all those who argue we should defend humanity to the determent of worshiping any "god" or religion, as necessarily worshiping humanity itself. It is this blind devotion to a tyrannical God, a God that not only "willed" that his own son be tortured and murdered, and all for the very same humanity He had drowned with a flood just eons before, but who had also sent His "chosen people" to commit genocide agaisnt other nations on numerous occasions, as boasted about repeatedly in ...

The Trouble with Faith

Once the Christian opens Pandora's box of "faith," they then try with all of their might to close it on every other "belief" but their own. Hence it is not that the Christian is not full of doubt, for the Christian is perhaps the greatest doubting Thomas that ever lived! It is just that the Christian reserves their doubt for anything and everything that in any way seems to challenge their "belief" in Christianity. This is ironic, of course, since anyone who "doubts" Christianity is simply being as much of a "doubting Thomas" toward that religion as the Christian is quite proud to be about every other system of beliefs, besides Christianity. From then on, the Christian becomes convinced that the "meaning of life" boils down to simply accepting Christianity as necessarily "true," and then sticking to this conclusion with all the obstinacy of the devil in Milton's Paradise Lost, even unto their own death if ...

How God Murdered Christ

God could've "saved" humanity in any number of infinite ways, since he can do"all things," as Christians love to boast. But rather than choose from any infinite number of other non-violent ways of "saving humanity," God specifically choose to do so by allowing his "only son" to be brutally tortured and murdered, and by the very "humanity" God wanted to save, no less.  That God could easily have chosen a more merciful means of forgiveness (a rule he "commands" humanity to follow but simply refuses to follow himself), and thus provided humanity with any number of less horrific examples for them to follow as the means of "forgiving all those who trespass agaisnt us," only proves how truly vicious and  unworthy of "worship" that God really is. This is especially true, when you consider that that same 'god' chose to simply ignore the pleas of his "only son' in the garden of Gethsemane t...

Why Jesus Christ is Keyser Söze

That the very first sin described in the Bible was prompted by a childlike curiosity  to "gain knowledge" should have been enough to prompt any half curious reader of the Bible to slam shut the book immediately. But it never does. And it never does, because the very same childlike curiosity that is infamous for having killed an inestimable number of cats in the world, not only lead Adam & Eve to loose their privileged access to Eden, but is what likewise drives the Christian ever on in an obsessive, and sometimes even fanatical, quest to find and to "know" their God. The very same "sin" of childlike curiosity that lead the "original sinners" to lose heaven on earth, in other words, is precisely the same means, and according to the book of Matthew is indeed apparently the only means, by which the Christian can enter the kingdom of heaven. For as it says in Matthew: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like...

The Devil's Pawns

Any Christian will tell you that Jesus Christ is "our Lord and Savior." But anyone unfamiliar with such a idea (Christians are only too willingly to accept they need a "savior"), is left to scratch their head and wonder, "savior from what?" The most obvious answer to this question is, of course, his own heavenly father, who is as responsible for creating the "devil" and his minions as the U.S. is responsible for creating Osama Bin Laden and wahhabism. . To the extent a person is simply willingly to "believe" that they needed to be "saved," even though they often have no idea from what exactly, they may still be left to wonder "well, who asked him to do that?" And this is the problem.  Not only does every single person born after Adam & Eve, have absolutely no say in the circumstances they are born into, one where they are bound as much by a soul stained with original sin's guarantee of death as b...

Will The Real "Love" Please Stand Up?

For Christians, God is love. In this sense, god exists simply because "love" does. Atheists, however, do not believe that God exists simply because love does. Indeed, the greatest evidence that God does not exist is often all those who claim that he does, and mostly because of how those "believers" honor their "love" for such a God by pretty much hating anyone who does not "obey" their God, as they see fit.  Of course, the "believer" conveniently separates the hatred they have for those who refuse to simply conform to the "beliefs" of Christians (especially since they have no evidence to support such "beliefs" but an ancient book and the "beliefs" themselves), by justifying their hatred as being directed solely at the "sin," and not the "sinner."  But this is like an atheist saying they are directing their ire and disdain at a Christian's "beliefs," and not the Christi...

Read Mikhail Bakunin ...

Read Mikhail Bakunin, and you will discover why we live in a world where the religion of economics, based on a theocracy of monetary policy, determines that the wisest of men should all perish by starvation for seeking knowledge and understanding, while the greatest of fools will prosper for having sought nothing but the accumulation of wealth. If the impetus for the former is a love of humanity driven by a desire to understand, the impetus of the latter is a love of money driven by the desire to wield power over all.    And as one is crucified for having sought the light of truth by daring to eat of the tree of knowledge, the other is glorified for its ability to turn a profit by selling humanity its own cross, and for providing jobs to all those who, out of a need to feed their own children, are willing to build crosses and hammer in the nails.
