From the Fishbowl

Humans who think they can understand the mind of an "intelligent designer" from within the universe He is said to have created are like goldfish who claim to know something about the mind of a human being from within the fishbowl that a human keeps on their shelf.

In fact, given that the difference between the mind of God and man is infinity greater than the difference between the mind of man and that of a goldfish, it would be far more likely that a goldfish could understand everything humans have ever done or thought over the course of at least 200,000 years, than that humans could ever come close to doing the same thing with an infinite God over the course of eternity.

But that never stops the true "believer" from insisting they damn well do anyway, and that the world damn well better believe it, or they'll be hell to pay!
