The first commandment in the Old Testament is that we must worship God and have no other gods before him. But wait a second ... prior to god issuing this commandment to Moses, all anyone was ever doing was worshiping other gods. They didn’t have any other choice, of course, because they didn’t know about the god who came out of the closest so late in the game of divine thrones. In fact, God gave the commandments to Moses only after he killed everyone on the planet for being such sinners. But how could anyone be a sinner if no commandments had been issued? And why wait so long after the flood to issue such commandments? Was it because writing had not been invented yet? In fact, how could god decide that humanity must follow a sacred book, when writing and book binding are roughly only 4000 years old?
