The True Miracle of Religious Truth

How ironic it is that while every other truth in the universe is true independent of whether we believe it or not, God choose to cure souls deformed through an act of deception by requiring them to “believe” something that can only be empowered through our willingness to “believe” it. Miraculously enough, this just happens to be the only way in which every lie in the universe is given any power at all – starting with the one that caused all of humanity to be born with the indelible stain of original sin to begin with, and all because Adam & Eve failed to exercise the necessary amount of doubt to save themselves from being sold a lie that they could "become like God." And by "become like God," they thought they would live forever and ever and ever. - the very same thing the Catholic Church promises everyone who obeys the Catholic Church.

But why? Of the infinite ways of forgiving us for being born with s sin stained soul due to being deceived, which is to forgive us for being born with the ability to believe a lie is in fact true, why would God chose to create a cure of "truth" that is so indistinguishable from the lie that deceived us in the first place? Indeed, when Jesus showed up to God's "chosen people," even they couldn't tell if they should believe he was their God made flesh, or a Charles Manson lunatic who simply "believed" he was the son of God! Both interpretations, after all, required just as much "faith" to believe, since even Jesus was accused of being a charlatan and a lunatic.

And if you ask the Christian why their brand of "God" choose to save us from our sinful souls by requiring us to “believe” in a “truth” that can only be empowered through our willingness to believe it, especially since such a “truth” requires the same "faith" that it is true that every lie in the universe requires to be empowered, and because such a "truth" has even less evidential support than a lie made up by a four year old, the “believer” merely responds: “it’s a mystery of faith.”

Indeed, the only real evidence such Christians offer are either incorruptible corpses (of which they simply ignore those that are not affiliated with their brand of faith), Marion apparitions ( even as they deny all other apparitions, from aliens to Bigfoot to Elvis to jinns, fairies, and so on), and martyrs (but only of their particular brand of "faith,"  while dutifully rejecting everyone else's "martyrs" as lunatics).

And then the real miracle happens.

That miracle occurs when the Christian is wholly surprised whenever their conviction in the answer, "It's a mystery of faith," fails to convince their listener that it is as "infallibly true" as the Christian believes it to be. Indeed, the Christian is so convinced that it is true that they are quite willing to burn you alive as a witch or a heretic for failing to accept their conviction as all the evidence you should ever need to accept it as infallibly true. For only by accepting it as so can you ever hope to save yourself from being burned alive for all eternity for daring to exercise your "free will" to freely use your own reason to doubt the veracity of such a claim.

In short, anyone who dares to use their reason to reach any conclusion other than that Christianity is infallibly true - even if Christians themselves have never agreed about which brand of their own religion everyone in the universe must follow to be saved from eternal torments - is so defective, and so sinful, that even the Christian God, who is said to be able to do anything at all, cannot save them, no matter how many times he sacrifices himself - literally or figuratively - in Churches around the world every day.

Why Christianity is More Unnatural Than Homosexuality

I grew up in a family that is about as homophobic as Phil Robertson and the Westboro Baptists, only they're not quite as boisterous about it; at least not in public anyway. They have also conveniently convinced themselves  that their homophobia is really just their unique Christian ability to "hate the sin, but love the sinner" (even though these very same Christians adamantly refuse to accept that people can "hate Christianity, but love the Christian").  The sexual superiority complex necessarily relied on by such Christians is, of course, blanketed beneath the lambs wool of the Christian humility of serving "God." They interpret their fear of those who are different, in other words, as simply proof of their intimate knowledge and love of God. And the only thing such Christians are more sure about than that their own personal version of "God" exists, is that such a "God" would never want people to be homosexual - no matter how ma

Christianity: An Addiction of Violence Masquerading as Love: Part II

"But God by nature must love Himself supremely, above all else." Fr. Emmet Carter   This is part  two of a look at an article written about the "restorative and medicinal" properties of punishment, as espoused by Fr. Emmett Carter (https://catholicexchange.com/gods-punishment-is-just-restorative-and-medicinal/).  Ideas of this sort in Christianity go back to St. Augustine and Thomas Aquinas - two saints who saw the suffering of Christ as sure fire evidence that God needed humans to suffer to balance the cosmic scales of his love for us. Sure, he could've come up with a better game, or made better humans, but its apparently the suffering he really enjoys seeing. Carter's essay raises countless questions, especially about the true nature of God's blood lust, but lets stick to just four simpler ones. The first question deals with the idea of "free will." According to Christians, God designed us with the ability to freely choose to obey or offend h

Christianity: An Addiction of Violence Masquerading as Love: Part I

If the Holy Bible proves anything at all, it proves that the Christian God has a blood-lust like no other God in history. From Abraham to Jesus to the end times to eternal hell, the Christian God loves suffering even more than, or at least as much as, said God loves Himself. And if everything from the genocides in the Old Testament and God killing everyone on the planet with a flood, to Jesus being tortured and murdered (rather than the devil, who is the guilty one) and the fiery end of the world followed by the never ending fires of hell, are not enough to convince you that Christianity is really an addiction to violence masquerading as "love," just consider the psychotic rantings of a Catholic priest trying to convince his faithful flock that murder and mutilation - which he calls "punishment" -  are proof of just how much his "God" is pure love.  In an article published on https://catholicexchange.com/gods-punishment-is-just-restorative-and-medicinal/,
