Follow Your Sin to Salvation

There are any number of stories among saints of people who had so indulged their desire for "sin" that they slingshot around the moon to their salvation. St. Augustine, for example, had exhausted his youth in the brothels of Rome, where he prayed that God would "save him, but not yet."

Had Augustine abstained from such indulgences, one must wonder if he'd have ever been so ardent an opponent of everyone else following in his fallen footsteps.
